Dr. Aqsa Durrani
Dr. Aqsa Durrani is a physician and epidemiologist with a public health focus in humanitarian emergency response and a clinical focus on pediatric emergency and critical care. She has worked on humanitarian assignments in various conflict and disaster-affected settings, including Sierra Leone with MSF, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Lebanon, Jordan and others. Her humanitarian work has included extensive frontline clinical, educational, and strategic emergency response planning and leadership experience with both MSF and other international humanitarian aid organizations.
Dr. Durrani holds a bachelor’s degree from New York University, a master of public health degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and doctor of medicine degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She pursued clinical training at New York University/Bellevue Hospital (pediatrics) and at New York Presbyterian-Columbia University (pediatric critical care). She was elected to the Board in May 2024.
