Ellen Willmott
Ellen Willmott
Ellen Willmott is a recognized nonprofit counsel and executive in the international and domestic health and welfare sectors. She has joined MSF USA after an interim role with Mothers Against Drunk Driving where she helped the organization refine its leadership, focus its campaign to end substance-impaired driving, and launch its DEI Council. Before MADD, Ellen worked as general counsel and in other leadership roles with international nonprofits. Ellen’s focus on mission-first guidance and decision-making is derived from her broad experience working on global projects with competing interests for transnational organizations such as Save the Children USA and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Inc. Ellen’s vision for an Office of General Counsel is that of a trusted advisor and partner in change, and not an “Office of No.” As one of three adopted children, Ellen’s work acknowledges the grace she has received. Finding balance in her personal life, Ellen is a dog-Mom to her rescue pup, Gia, a mix of “terrier, schnauzer, and Dr. Seuss.” She is an avid snow-chaser and foodie, enjoying time with family and friends here in New York City, the Wasatch, or Cape Cod.
